New Roots - Bifido Infantis Early Colonizing Probiotic | 30 capsules

Each enteric-coated capsule delivers 5 billion live, biologically active CFU of the early colonizing probiotic Bifidobacterium infantis to help maintain a healthy gut flora. Multiple-strain formulas dominate the probiotic landscape; however, there is growing evidence for the benefits of certain single-strain probiotic supplementation.

The dynamic field of probiotic research has led to the isolation of specific strains with benefits for immune-system performance. Although most probiotic strains are well tolerated by the majority, individuals with certain life circumstances or health conditions may benefit from the supplementation of specific strains before others. Bifidobacterium infantis is among the pioneer probiotics to inhabit the infant gut, helping forge a healthy immune system. In fact, more than half of Canada’s neonatal intensive-care units administer a probiotic formula featuring B. infantis to babies born prior to 32 weeks. A lack of it at birth can continue throughout life, and exposure to processed foods, environmental toxins, antibiotics, and germs can lead to the decline or elimination of this fundamental probiotic strain.

Supplementation can reestablish the foundation of gut flora in children* and adults. Bifido Infantis’s GPS™ capsules have a natural enteric coating that survives stomach acid and ensures the probiotics reach the intestines where they colonize to benefit your health. Just like all New Roots Herbal probiotics, Bifido Infantis is refrigerated from the factory to the retail store, in order to ensure optimum effectiveness of the probiotics as they reach your intestines. *This product is indicated for children aged 6 years and older.
