Pure Encapsulations L-Theanine

Caffeine before a workout sharpens focus, but it also often brings jitters, a racing heart, or anxious energy that undercuts the benefit. L-theanine is the compound long studied for taking the edge off caffeine's stimulating effects without dulling the alertness it provides.

Pure Encapsulations L-Theanine delivers 200mg of Suntheanine, the clinically studied form of l-theanine, to promote relaxation and moderate occasional stress without drowsiness.

Takes the Edge Off Caffeine Without Killing the Buzz – L-theanine has been reported to moderate caffeine's effects on the central nervous system, so pairing the two can smooth out jitters from your pre-workout coffee without dulling the alertness you're after.

Calm Focus Instead of Drowsiness – L-theanine enhances alpha wave activity linked to relaxation, and research shows it does so without the drowsiness that many calming ingredients bring.

A Clinically Studied Form – This uses Suntheanine, the specific branded form used in the research behind these effects, rather than a generic l-theanine that may not match what studies have tested.

L-theanine is the amino acid responsible for green tea's characteristic taste and its long-recognized relaxant properties. Research shows it enhances alpha wave activity in the brain, an index of relaxation, and does so rapidly without causing drowsiness. It's also been reported to moderate the effects of caffeine on the central nervous system, and preliminary research suggests it may support healthy cellular function and premenstrual mood.

How to Use Pure Encapsulations L-Theanine

Dose: Adults take 2 capsules, 1 to 3 times daily, between meals. For ages 8-18, take 1 capsule, 1 to 2 times daily, between meals.

Take a dose alongside your pre-workout coffee or caffeine if jitters are a problem for you, or use it on its own between meals for general relaxation support.

Higher doses may cause drowsiness in some people, though lower doses aren't typically associated with this effect. If you are pregnant or lactating, have any health condition, or are taking any medication, consult your health professional before use.
